Hue House Apartment is conceived as an interior in spectrum—a space where color, light, and domestic rituals are composed into a continuous architectural narrative.

Rather than treating the apartment as a static container, the project reimagines it as a sequence of atmospheric chambers: each zone defined not by walls alone, but by shifts in hue, reflection, and luminosity. Glossy surfaces, warm wood, and translucent partitions overlap to create a layered field where space is perceived through gradient rather than boundary.

At the center, a compact bar and gathering area anchors the apartment as a social instrument—allowing the home to expand and contract between intimacy and event. Sliding glass frames, mirrored planes, and framed openings choreograph movement, turning circulation into a slow, cinematic reveal.

Light is not applied—it is constructed. Linear ceilings, glowing panels, and circular luminaires become architectural elements, suspending the interior between softness and precision. Colors—amber, red, cream, and gold—are not decorative accents, but spatial temperatures that define mood and tempo.

Materials are deliberately balanced between warmth and reflection: wood grounds the space, lacquer and glass dissolve its edges, metal sharpens its joints. The result is neither a conventional apartment nor a pure exhibition space, but a hybrid interior—capable of hosting dinners, gatherings, performances, and quiet nights with equal clarity.

Hue House Apartment embodies ORR Studio’s belief that space is not only something we occupy, but something that performs—an environment where architecture becomes a medium for social life, perception, and shared atmosphere.
