Gulp is conceived as an urban kiosk—a compact, precise architecture that frames speed, clarity, and appetite into a single spatial gesture.
Rather than expanding outward, the project compresses experience into a focused volume. A luminous ceiling grid of light wood panels floats above the counter like a soft canopy, establishing both identity and scale within the narrow footprint. Below, stainless steel surfaces and open shelving form a working landscape—direct, honest, and unapologetically functional.
The front counter, clad in warm red ceramic tile, introduces a tactile and graphic counterpoint to the cool precision of metal and glass. It becomes both interface and threshold—the place where city and kitchen meet.
Material choices are deliberately simple and legible: wood for warmth, steel for rigor, tile for touch, terrazzo for continuity. Nothing is hidden; nothing is excess. The space reads immediately, but reveals its care in proportion, alignment, and light.
On the street, the facade becomes a quiet signal—green panels, warm interior glow, and a framed window into activity—transforming the act of ordering into a small urban ritual.
Gulp reflects ORR Studio’s belief that even the smallest spaces deserve architectural clarity—that speed does not preclude precision, and function does not exclude atmosphere. It is not a restaurant reduced in scale, but an idea distilled.
